Insurtech NYC packed The Midtown Loft with roughly 175 people from the insurance and insurtech community for a night of animated discussion, networking, and fantastic presentations from our panel of speakers. James Hobson, CEO of Attune Insurance, discussed the different components affecting small business insurance pricing and the ways Attune’s technology helps streamline the process. He was followed by CEO and Co-Founder of Inshure, Dan Bratshpis, whose innovative commercial auto insurance platform helps insure rideshare drivers in the U.K. and U.S. with minimal hassle.
After a short break for networking and refreshments, Mark Purowitz, Senior Partner at Deloitte, took the stage to outline the changes Deloitte is observing in the insurance industry and the role insurtech plays in the larger, traditional insurance industry. The evening concluded with Leandro DalleMule, General Manager at Planck, who explained how Planck’s exceptional AI and data analytics software uses publicly available information to help commercial insurers properly price their products.
Montoux and American Family Ventures hosted Insurtech NYC with Deloitte sponsoring the event. Montoux’s Geoff Keast and American Family Ventures’ Drew Aldrich co-hosted the evening’s event. Geoff also announced the launch of the Insurtech Channel, which went live the same day. Presenter recap videos and news from this event, as well as relevant insurtech content and updates on upcoming events in the broader insurtech community will be available on the site in the coming weeks.
We’re thrilled to see so many members of the community attending these events, participating in Q&A’s with our speakers, and showing so much enthusiasm for the different technological developments affecting the insurance industry. If you made it out, we hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did. If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t stress too much. All content from the event is set publish on the Insurtech Channel in the coming weeks and we’ll announce all future Insurtech NYC events through the channel’s newsletter and social accounts.
